| Electronic Billing is not about sending invoices via e-mail (which by the way must be also provided on paper copy). According to Italian law (Feb. 20th 2004 n. 52) a new innovative invoicing scheme has been introduced. This allows the dematerialization the entire lifecycle of an invoice, from its issuing to electronic storage. It must be possible to assess issuing date, origin and content integrity in order to consider it a valid electronic invoice. |

- Assessing the diffusion of commercial cycle integration models and electronic billing and back-up storing models in Italy
- Estimating potential benefits for the country deriving from the aforementioned models
- Collecting main evidences in terms of organizational approaches, with specific reference to the management of projects and complexity, both internal and external
- Running a gap analysis with other countries, analyzing critical success factors at a systemic level which are enablers for electronic billing
- To monitor the evolution of law frameworks and of the main standardization projects, both in Italy and abroad.
